    Recipe Introduction


    Notes: Always make a double batch because it goes so fast during the holidays.

    List of Ingredients




    3 cups Cocoa Puffs® Cereal
    3 cups Rice Chex® Cereal
    1 1/2 cups pretzels (small twisted)
    1 cup peanuts
    1 cup brown sugar, packed
    1/2 cup butter
    1/4 cup light corn syrup
    1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
    1/4 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla

    Recipe



    1. Combine cereals, pretzels, and nuts in a 13 X 9 X 2 baking pan.

    2. Cook and stir the brown sugar, butter or margarine, and light corn syrup in a medium saucepan over medium heat until the mixture comes to a boil. Let the mixture boil without stirring for 4 minutes. Remove from heat.

    3. Stir in cream of tartar and baking soda. Stir in vanilla; pour over cereal mixture. Stir gently to coat. Bake in a 300°F. oven for 30 minutes; stirring after 15 minutes. Spread on foil to cool. Keep in a tightly covered container.
