Strawberry Trifle

1 small package instant vanilla pudding mix (I use sugar free)
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1 - 8 oz. container cool whip
3 cups of fresh sliced strawberries, divided
1 pepperidge farm frozen strawberry cake
Recipe
Prepare pudding mix according to pkg. directions. Add almond
extract. Refrigerate 5 minutes. Fold whipped topping into pudding.
Cut frozen cake crosswise into 6 slices; cut each slice into 6 squares. Place half of the cake pices in a 3 qt. glass bowl or trifle bowl. Top with half of the fruit and half of the pudding. Repeat layers. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
