Scalloped Chicken and Pasta

1/4 c. margarine or butter; divided
1/4 c. dry bread crumbs
1 (6.2 oz.) pkg. Pasta Roni Shells and White Cheddar
2 cups mixed vegetables
2/3 c. milk
2 cups chopped chicken or ham
Recipe
Heat oven to 450. Melt 2 tablespoons margarine; stir in bread crumbs. Set aside.
In a large saucepan, combine 2 1/4 c. water and remaining 2
tablespoons margarine. Bring just to a boil. Stir in pasta and vegetables. Reduce heat to medium. Boil uncovered for 12 to 14 minutes or until most of water is absorbed, stirring occasionally.
Transfer pasta mixture to an 8 or 9 inch square glass baking dish. Sprinkle with bread crumbs mixure. Bake 10 minutes or until bread crumbs are browned and edges are bubbly.
