2-1/2 squares unsweetened chocolate, chopped
1/2 cup butter
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1-1/4 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 cup sour cream
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Melt unsweetened chocolate and butter. Stirring occasionally until smooth. Sift flour, soda, powder and salt together, set aside.

In a medium bowl beat sugar, eggs and vanilla until light. Mix in chocolate mixture until well blended.

Stir in the sifted ingredients alternately with sour cream. Mix in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto pans. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Allow to cool on pans for 5 minutes before transferring to racks to cool completely.
