List of Ingredients




1 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
3 cups sugar
5 eggs
1 cup milk
1 tbsp vanilla
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
4 tbsp unsweetened cocoa


Recipe



Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla.

Sift flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa. Add to creamed mixture, alternately with milk. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan.

Bake in a preheated 325 degree oven for 1 hour 20 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pan before turning out onto wire rack to finish cooling.
