    1/2 cup butter
    1 cup shortening
    3 cups sugar
    6 eggs, seperated
    3 cups all-purpose flour
    1 cup milk
    1/2 tsp coconut extract
    1/2 tsp almond extract
    2 cups coconut

    Recipe



    Blend butter, crisco and sugar. Add egg yolks, mix well. Add extracts. Add flour and milk alternately. Whip egg whites until stiff peaks form. Add coconut to cake mixture. Fold in whites. Bake in a greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour and 30 minutes at 300 degrees.
