Recipe Introduction
I haven't seen Amy for years. She was a good cook then and is probably a great cook now. I don't know where Amy got the recipe but it is a real hit whenever I serve it. In fact people who never had the least interest in eating crab have actually called me at midnight for this recipe because they suddenly got a craving.
List of Ingredients
- 1 package english muffins
- 1/4 C margarine
- 1 C pasturized American process cheese
- 1 1/2 tsp mayonnaise (yes mayo, not salad dressing)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 small can crabmeat - drained
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients except the muffins. Split the muffins and place on a foil lined cookie sheet. Spread with the crab meat mixture and place under the broiler until bubbly.
Final Comments
You can serve these as is or cut into wedges. For a change sprinkle some sliced or slivered almonds on the broiled muffins and slide them back under the broiler until they are nicely toasted.
