    Bab's white elephant party

    Recipe Introduction


    From a fun party my friend, Babs, used to have. Everyone brought their favorite dish and made copies of the recipe.
    Everyone loves the smokey taste of the bacon, the crunch of the water chestnuts, & the sweetness of the sauce.

    List of Ingredients




    1 lb bacon
    1-2 cans water chesnuts (whole)
    olive oil
    teriyaki or sweet/sour sauce
    toothpicks

    Recipe



    Slice 1 lb bacon in half pieces. Wrap bacon around whole water chestnut and secure with toothpick. (Soak toothpicks in water before using to prevent burning). Add 2 T olive oil in large skillet (non-stick) and heat to med temp. Add rumaki and saute until bacon is done. Drain fat and add enough teriyaki sauce to coat each piece. Mix & continue to cook until all sauce is absorbed and morsels are glazed with sauce. Serve warm.
