    Beth's Spaghetti and Meatballs

    List of Ingredients




    Meatballs:
    1lbl. ground beef (the leaner the better)
    1 egg
    2 slices stale bread
    1 1/2t. oregano
    1/4 cup parmesean cheese
    Sauce:
    1 t. sugar
    1 1/2 t. salt
    1/2 t. pepper
    1 1/2 t. oregano
    2 lb. whole tomatos
    12 oz. tomato paste
    1 onion, chopped
    1 bell pepper, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 bay leaf
    1 cup water
    1/2 cup mushrooms

    Recipe



    Put all sauce ingredients into large pot and cook for 2 hours. Mix egg with bread crumbs and mix remaining ingredients with salt and pepper to taste. Form into balls and add to sauce. Cook one more hour. Serve over spaghettti.
