List of Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2 tablespoon corn sirup
- 2 tablespoons butter or fat
- 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, broken into small pieces
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- Put sugar, milk,sirup, and chocolate into saucepan. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Cook slowly until the temperature reaches 236F or until mixture forms a soft ball.
- Remove from heat. Add the butter.
- When cooled to lukewarm add the vanilla.
- Beat until thick
- Pour into shallow greased pan.
- Chill. Cut into squares when firm.
- Vanilla Fudge: Omit chocolate and increase vanilla to 1 1/2 tsp.
- Chocolate Coconut: After beating stir in 1/2 cup coconut.
- Chocolate nut: After beating stir in 1 cup of broken nuts
- Raisin Fudge: Add 1/2 cup nuts and 1/2 cup chopped raisins after beating.
