Baked hubbard Squash recipe number 1878
List of Ingredients
- small hubbard squash
- 3 tbsp butter or fat
- 3 tbsp chopped onion
- 2 tbsp chopped green pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1/8 tsp paprika
- 1/4 cup fine bread crumbs
Instructions
- Cut squash into small pieces and boil in salted water about 30 minutes or until tender
- Drain and mash.
- Melt the butter. Add onion and pepper and saute slowly 5 minutes.
- Add onion, pepper, salt, pepper, paprika to squash. Mix well.
- Turn into greased baking dish. Sprinkle with crumbs, salt, pepper and bake in hot oven [400F] 25 minutes.
- Serves 6
