Recipe Introduction
This recipe was inspired by a casserole made at school in home economics and one a friend used to cook. Combine the two together, tweak and you have my recipe!
List of Ingredients
- 1 large can of tuna
- 2 tablespoons of plain flour
- 1 teaspoon of curry powder (this makes it mild, add more if you wish)
- 2 tablespoons of margarine or butter
- 2 cups of milk
- 1 can of crushed pineapple in juice
Instructions
- Drain the tuna and pineapple.
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan with the curry powder, add the flour to make a roux. Cook it out for about a minute and then gradually add milk to avoid lumps. Allow the sauce to bubble for about a minute to cook out the flour.
- Add the drained tuna and pineapple. Stir together until the tuna and pineapple are heated through.
- Serve over a bed of rice.
