    STEAMED FISH POT

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 each crab leg clusters
    • 1/2 lb. shrimp unpeeled
    • 2 pieces ocean perch
    • 1/2 c. carrots, sliced 1/8 inch thick
    • 1 stalk celery, sliced 1/8 inch thick
    • 1 sm. onion, cut into wedges
    • 1 sm. tomato, cut into 1-inch cubes
    • 1 can clam juice w/clams
    • Salt and pepper to taste


    Instructions


    1. In the bottom pot of a steamer pot add the clams with juice, carrots, celery, onions, tomato and water to cover the vegetables, salt and pepper.

    2. In the top part (the steamer pot), add the crab and shrimp.

    3. Bring the water to a boil and turn down heat as so to simmer slowly.

    4. Put the steamer pot into the pot and cover. Steam for 10 minutes, or until shrimp turns pink.

    5. At that point, remove the cover, being careful not to burn yourself and add the perch. Place cover back on the and steam about 3-4 minutes.

    6. The vegetables should be tender. If not, cook a little longer.

    7. When done, serve with steamed rice.

    8. You will find that the mixture at the bottom of the pot has made a great clam chowder.

    9. Serves 2



    Final Comments


    If you need to add liquid to the soup use chicken stock or add more clam juice.
