    Recipe Introduction


    This is a heavy soup, really good and a belly filler.


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups sm. shells or stars
    • 2 tab. butter
    • 1 sm. onion, chopped
    • 1 clove garlic, minced
    • 4 cups milk
    • 2 tab. fresh parsley, chopped
    • 1 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
    • 2 cans clams, minced ( 13 oz. )
    • Salt and pepper to taste


    Instructions


    1. Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain.
    2. In large saucepan, melt butter.
    3. Add onion and garlic. Cook until tender.
    4. Stir in remaining ingredients, except pasta.
    5. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until soup is hot and cheese melts. Do not boil.
    6. Stir in pasta. heat through.


    Final Comments


    Top with shredded cheese and fresh parsley.
