Recipe Introduction
This is a heavy soup, really good and a belly filler.
List of Ingredients
- 2 cups sm. shells or stars
- 2 tab. butter
- 1 sm. onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 4 cups milk
- 2 tab. fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 cans clams, minced ( 13 oz. )
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain.
- In large saucepan, melt butter.
- Add onion and garlic. Cook until tender.
- Stir in remaining ingredients, except pasta.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until soup is hot and cheese melts. Do not boil.
- Stir in pasta. heat through.
Final Comments
Top with shredded cheese and fresh parsley.
