    Oven Fries

    Source of Recipe

inspired by a Canyon Ranch recipe

    Recipe Introduction

I love to make this in my cast iron oven pan.

    List of Ingredients

    • Potato (as many as you wish) Use either big baking potatoes or new potatoes
    • Olive oil
    • Garlic powder
    • Salt

    Instructions

    1. Wash and slice potatoes into the size of "oven fries" you like.
Thin or big thick ones with the peel on.
    2. Toss the "fries" in about a tablespoon or less of olive oil.

    3. sprinkle with garlic powder and little salt. Fresh cracked black pepper is nice to sprinkle on as well.

    4. place in large shallow oiled pan, and put in a preheated 400 F oven. I use a big cast iron pan.
    5. Leave in oven until the "fries" are tender in the middle and brown on the outside. Make sure you turn them one or two times during the cooking process.

    Final Comments

I sometimes use Old Bay instead of Garlic Powder.
Cajun spice is nice as well. Just plain Sea Salt and Black Pepper is great too. Experiment with differnt seasonings.
