    List of Ingredients


    • 3 Tbsp. instant coffee
    • 6 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
    • 2 1/3 cups flour
    • 2 tsp. baking powder
    • 2 tsp. baking soda
    • 1/4 tsp. salt
    • 1 1/3 cups real mayonnaise (do not use salad dressing)
    • 1 cup plus 1 Tbsp. cold water
    • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
    • 1 1/3 cups sugar
    • Vanilla Frosting (recipe follows)
    • Chocolate Frosting (recipe follows)
    • Chocolate sandwich cookies or chocolate wafers, red hots, red licorice laces
    • 2 chocolate bars (select any brand that can be broken in sections)


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Blend first 10 ingredients together in a large mixing bowl and beat until smooth.
    3. Line two 9"x5"x3"loaf pans with butter aluminum foil.
    4. Pour equal amounts of batter into pans.
    5. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center of cakes comes out clean.
    6. Cool completely.
    7. Remove cakes from pans and peel away foil.
    8. Place one loaf onserving plate or tray. Stand second loaf upright, against horizontal loaf. Cut corner of upright loaf to form a peaked roof, and trim a rounded toe for end of shoe.
    9. Frost shoe completely with vanilla frosting.
    10. Overlap cookies in rows aacross roof to resemble shingles, and use chocolate frosting to create a saddle-shoe effect.
    11. Pipe a line of chocolate frosting around the base of shoe to resemble edge of sole.
    12. Create eyelets and shoelaces with red hots and licorice laces.
    13. Break the candy bars into sections and use to fashion windows and a door.
