Vanilla Frosting

List of Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 pounds confectioners sugar
- Chocolate Frosting:
- 1 Tbsp. butter, softened
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- Reserved Vanilla Frosting
- Orange Frosting:
- Red and orange food coloring
Instructions
- Beat butter, milk, salt, and 2 cupss of the sugar until fluffy.
- Add remaining sugar gradually and heat until smooth and creamy. Reserve one fourth of the frosting for Chocolate Frosting (see below).
- Chocolate Frosting: Beat butter and cocoa until smooth. Blend in reserved frosting.
- Note: You may need to add a little more milk to achieve the desired spreading consistency.
- Orange Frosting: Add red and orange food coloring to vanilla frosting to get desired color.
