    Vanilla Frosting

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup butter, softened
    • 1/2 cup milk
    • 1/2 tsp. salt
    • 2 pounds confectioners sugar
    • Chocolate Frosting:
    • 1 Tbsp. butter, softened
    • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    • Reserved Vanilla Frosting
    • Orange Frosting:
    • Red and orange food coloring


    Instructions


    1. Beat butter, milk, salt, and 2 cupss of the sugar until fluffy.

    2. Add remaining sugar gradually and heat until smooth and creamy. Reserve one fourth of the frosting for Chocolate Frosting (see below).

    3. Chocolate Frosting: Beat butter and cocoa until smooth. Blend in reserved frosting.

    4. Note: You may need to add a little more milk to achieve the desired spreading consistency.

    5. Orange Frosting: Add red and orange food coloring to vanilla frosting to get desired color.
