    Andes Chocolate Mint Cookies

    3/4 cup butter

    2 eggs

    1 1/2 cups. brown sugar

    2 1/2 cups flour

    2 tablespoons water

    1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda

    12 oz. chocolate chips

    1/2 teaspoon. salt

    Andes mint or cherry candies

    Recipe



    1. On low heat, melt butter, brown sugar & water - then add chocolate
    chips - stir until melted.

    2. Pour into bowl & let stand for 10 minutes.

    3. Beat 1 egg at a time at high speed into mixture.

    4. Reduce speed - add dry ingredients.

    5. Chill dough for 1 hour.

    6. Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet. Cook at 350 for 8 - 10 minutes.

    7. As soon as they come out of the oven put an Andes candy on top of
    cookie and swirl with a spoon or toothpick.

    8. Let cookies cool completely on foil or rack.
