8 slices French bread
4 eggs
2/3 cup orange juice
1/3 cup milk
1/4 cup orange liqueur
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup vanilla
1 tablespoon orange zest
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
Place 8 slices of French bread in a glass baking dish so they fit snugly.
Beat remaining ingredients together. Pour mixture over bread, over and
refrigerate, turning once, when you go to bed. In the morning, spray cooking
spray on 4 au gratin dishes, place 2 slices of toast in each dish, sprinkle
with chopped pecans. Bake at 400 degrees for approximately 20 minutes. I
serve with bacon or sausage.
