150 year old Dutch Cookies
List of Ingredients
ONE HUNDRED FIFTY YEAR OLD "DUTCH" COOKIES

1 c. oleo
1 c. sugar
1 egg, separated
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 Tbsp. water
1 c. chopped nuts
Cream oleo and sugar; add egg yolk; mix well. Sift
flour, salt and cinnamon together; add to creamy mixture
gradually. Pat dough easily into 17 x 13-inch foil-lined pan.
Blend water and egg white; stir until syrupy (should not
foam). Brush over dough, then sprinkle with nuts and a little
sugar. Bake in 300 degrees oven for 30 minutes. Turn off oven, but
leave cookies inside 15 minutes longer (no peeking). Cut into
finger-size cookies.
