Brownie Mix in a Jar

Brownie Mix in a Jar

1 cup plus 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup baking cocoa
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Mix flour, salt and baking powder. Pack into bottom of wide-mouth
quart canning jar. Layer remaining ingredients in order given. Cover
and store in cool dry place for up to 6 months.

Directions

3 eggs
2/3 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

In a bowl, beat eggs, oil and vanilla. Add the brownie mix; stir
well. Spread into a greased 9-inch square baking pan. Bake at 350
degrees for 34-38 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the
center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.

Yield: 16 brownie
