Peanuty Peanut Butter Cookie Mix in a Jar

3/4 cup salted peanuts
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup peanut butter chips (like chocolate chips, but peanut butter)
1 1/2 cups flour mixed with 1 teaspoon baking soda and 1/4 teaspoon
salt

In a 1 quart "wide mouth" canning jar, layer ingredients in order
below: flour, peanut butter chips, brown sugar, granulated sugar and
peanuts. Press each layer firmly in place before adding next
ingredient.

Directions

1. Empty jar of cookie mix into large mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly.

2. Add: 1/2 cup butter or margarine, not diet, softened; 1/2 cup
creamy peanut butter; 1 egg, slightly beaten; and 1 teaspoon vanilla.

3. Mix until completely blended.

4. Shape into balls the size of walnuts. Place 2 inches apart on
sprayed baking sheets.

5. Bake at 350 degrees for 11 to 13 minutes until edges are lightly
browned. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet. Remove cookies to racks
to
finish cooling.

Yield: 3 dozen cookies.
