Sunshine Cake

Oven 300F 60 to 65 minutes
Set out bu do not grease 10 inch tube pan, 4 inches deep. In a small bowl, beat until thick 5 egg yolks. Beat in gradually 1/2 cup sugar. Beat in 1 cup sifted soft silk alternately with 2 tbs cold water and 1 tsp vanilla. Beat in large bowl 8 egg whites, 1/2 tsp cream of tartar, 1/4 tsp salt and 1 cup sugar.
Fold yellow mix into white until mixed.
Whipped cream icing
1/2 pt whipping cream
1/2 tps vanilla
1 tbs sugar
