Carnival Ribbons
List of Ingredients
1/4 cup yeast
1 cup milk
3 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
4 1/2 stick butter
salt
fruit jam (apricot, peach, any other fruit that you like)
olive oil
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
Recipe
Melt the yeast in the milk. Add the flour, sugar, eggs, butter, and a pinch of salt and mix until you get a soft dough. Let it rise. Cut into small circles, put the fruit jam on one side of the disk, fold and cover with the other half of the disk. Fry in boiling olive oil, dust with the confectioners' sugar, and serve. Serves 4
