    Mircrowave Stewed Crackers

    List of Ingredients

It was late and I was feeling a bit pouty this evening--kinduva "I want
my Mommy!" sort of a feeling. I had worked hard all day trying to make
a dent in the chaos of my office and although I had made real progress,
I was tired and I wanted to fix something to eat that would make me feel
    better. Something sorta "mushy."

No matter what I tried to dream up out of the contents of the
refrigerator, nothing appealed to me. Then I remembered how on similar
occasions, Stewed Crackers always made me feel better. Yes, indeedy,
Stewed Crackers it was! But this is the 90s and I wasn't in the mood to
follow the old PD recipe. So I made up one of my own that has only the
    vaguest similarity to the "original."

I broke up some saltines (about 5 of them) put them in a bowl, added
about a tablespoon of water, covered the bowl and microwaved them until
they got soggy. I then added some butter/margerine and a bit of skim
milk, broke an egg over the top, stirred it all together and put it back
in the microwave until it all set.

But it lacked something. I knew that a bit of jelly would have topped it off just right, but I didn't have any. So instead, I jazzed it up by adding Parmesan cheese! Hey, you go with what you have! Bingo! As
Goldy Locks said, it was JUST right!
