Boiled Shrimp with Dipping Sauces
List of Ingredients
Everyone likes to eat shrimp, especially plump pink shrimp still warm from their seasoned poaching liquid. You can prepare any number of dipping sauces, including Green Sauce, Arugula Pesto or Lemon Mayonnaise.
kosher salt
1/2 lemon, stuck with 3 cloves
1 small onion, peeled and sliced thin
5 sprigs Italian parsley
10 peppercorns
1 lb. large shrimp (about 16-20 per pound), peeled and
deveined
lemon wedges
Recipe

Heat a large pot of salted water to boiling and add the sliced lemon, sliced onion, parsley and peppercorns. Remove the pot from
the heat.

Stir the shrimp into the water and let stand just until the shrimp are cooked through, about 3 minutes. Remove the shrimp to a serving platter with a slotted spoon. Place small bowls of one or more sauces on the serving platter and garnish with lemon wedges.
