    Banana Dumplings

    List of Ingredients




    1 pint sour cream, thick
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    Flour to make soft dough
    Roll out about an eighth of inch thick, cut in strips 3 inches wide and 5 long. Peel bananas and wrap each one in the dough same as other dumplings.

    Place in pan, fill with sweet milk and bake one hour.

    Yield: 1 Serving per banana.

    Sauce:

    1 pint water
    1 cup sugar
    juice of one lemon
    1 tablespoon flour rubbed smooth in a little cold water
    1 teaspoon butter
    Sprinkle nutmeg
    Mix and let the mixture boil and thicken with the flour. Serve hot over dumplings
