Eton Mess
List of Ingredients
Strawberries (quartered) [ I use a large punnet about 1 lb]
Double (Heavy Cream) 1 pint
Meringue [ this can be any kind as it has to be broken, I
usually use the small meringue shells]
Recipe
Take your prettiest glass serving dish and break the meringues into it. Chop the strawberries. Whip the cream to the sloppy stage [ where is holds soft peaks but not stiff] Add strawberries and cream to meringues and stir together. Chill for about 1 hour and serve.
