    Mom's Apple Puddin'

    List of Ingredients




    Mom's Apple Puddin'

    1/2 cup butter or margarine
    1 cup sugar
    1 egg
    1 cup flour
    1 teaspoon soda
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1 teaspoon nutmeg
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    2 1/2 cups apples, diced or shredded on large side of grater
    1 cup pecans, chopped

    Cream together butter and sugar. Add egg and mix well. Mix dry ingredients together and add to the first mixture. Stir in the apples and nuts. Bake in a 9x9-inch Pyrex dish at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Serve warm or cold with puddin' sauce.

    Puddin' Sauce:
    1 cup sugar
    2 tablespoons flour
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
    1 cup water
    2 tablespoons butter
    1 teaspoon vanilla

    Combine first 5 ingredients; bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla.
