    1940's Cheesecake

    List of Ingredients




    1940's Cheesecake

    Graham cracker crust
    Filling:
    3, 8 oz packages cream cheese softened
    1 cup sugar
    2 Tbs. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp finely shredded lemon peel
    2 large eggs
    1 large egg yolk
    1/4 cup milk ( or cream )

    Prepare graham crumb crust and press into bottom and partially up sides of a 8 or 9 inch springform pan. Make filling. Have cream cheese softened and beat with sugar,
    flour, vanilla and lemon peel on medium speed until well combined. Add eggs and yolk all at once and beat on low speed to combine well. Do not overbeat.. Stirn in milk or
    cream. Pour into the crust lined pan. Bake in a preheated 375F oven 35 to 40 minutes for 8 inch pan or 45 to 50 minutes for 9 inch pan OR until top appears set. Cool in
    pan on wire rack for 15 minutes. Carefully loosen sides of cake from pan with tip of sharp knife and cool for 30 minutes more ( this prevents cracking when cooling ) .
    Remove sides of pan and cool completely then chill overnight before serving.
