    Miss Pennell's winning Pretzel Salad

    List of Ingredients




    Combine and pat smooth into an 8" x 8" pan:
    1 cup crushed pretzels
    1 stick margarine
    1/2 cup sugar

    Mix together and pour over pretzel crust:
    8 oz. Cool Whip
    8 oz. cream cheese
    1/2 cup sugar

    Blend in saucepan and cook 3 to 5 minutes until thickened:
    1 20 oz. can crushed pineapple
    2 tablespoons cornstarch

    Cool pineapple mixture and pour over the cream cheese mixture.
    Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.

    My daughter won a prize for this recipe at the snack food company where she
    works.
