    Buttermilk Chess Pie
    Chess pie has long been a favorite in the South. It’s a custard pie with a difference.

    3 eggs
    1 1/2 cups sugar
    3 tbsp. flour
    1 Tbsp. cornmeal
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 cup buttermilk
    1/2 cup butter, melted
    1 unbaked 8 in. pie shell

    • Beat eggs, stir in the combined dry ingredients.
    • Add other ingredients, stir. Pour into pie shell.
    • Bake at 350 for 45-50 minutes.
    • Tastes good slightly warm.
