    Frangelico Ice Cream

    List of Ingredients




    from the Peabody Hotel in Orlando.

    1 1/2 cups whipping cream
    1 1/2 cups whole milk
    1/4 cup honey
    1/4 cup sugar
    5 large egg yolks
    5 TBSP Frangelico(hazelnut liquor)

    Combine first 4 ingredients in large saucepan. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture comes to simmer.
    Remove from heat.
    Whisk yolks in large bowl to blend.Gradually
    wisk in hot milk mixture. Return mixture to same saucepan. Stir over medium heat until custard thickens and leaves path on back of spoon when finger is drawn across, about 2 minutes.(DO NOT BOIL)
    Strain into another bowl. Stir in Frangelico. Chill until cold, at least 4 hours.
    Transfer to ice cream maker and process according to manufacturer's instructions. Freeze ice cream in covered container,until firm about 4 hours.
    Makes 1 quart.
