    Very Peachy

    List of Ingredients

    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbs. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 quart whole milk
    1/2 pint whipping cream
    1 Tbs. vanilla
    6 c. chopped fresh peaches (peeled)
    1 c. sugar

    In a saucepan combine 1 1/2 c. sugar, the flour and the salt; add the eggs and blend well. Add the milk and cook slowly until slightly thickened. Let cool.

    Sweeten the peaches with the extra cup of sugar. Add the whipping cream, vanilla, and the sweetened peaches to the cooked mixture and pour into the canister of an ice cream maker. Follow the instructions of the machine's manufacturer to process the ice cream until firm.

    Makes 1 gallon.
