    Wild Plum Jam [prize winner]

    List of Ingredients




    Wild Plum Jam

    5 pounds Wild plums (about 11 1/4 cups pitted and chopped)
    1/2 cup water
    Sugar (see recipe)
    Cook plums until soft. Once plums are soft, puree in a food processor. Remove and add 1 1/2 cups sugar to every cup of plum puree. Add water. Pour into a pan and boil rapidly to a jelly stage (soft ball on the thermometer) approximately 10 minutes. Ladle into hot jars and seal. Makes 6 pints.
