Rosy Glazed Apples
List of Ingredients
- 3 oz gelatin in raspberry or strawberry flavors
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 lemon slices, 1/4 inche thick
- 4 medium baking apples, peeled and cored
Instructions
- Combine gelatin, water, cinnamon and lemon slices in medium skillet. Cook and stir over medium heat until mix boils and gelatin is dissolved.
- Add apples, cover and simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until almost tender, turn once and bast occasionally. Remove from heat
- Cool apples in syrup. Remove lemon slices. Place apples in individual serving dishes or custard cups. Chill gelatin mix until slightly thickened. Spoon over apples to glaze. Chill until set [about 1 hour]
- Serve with whipped topping
