    List of Ingredients




    1 yeast cake or 1 pack of dry yeast
    1/4 cup warm water
    1 egg
    1 1/2 cups milk
    1 tablespoon salt
    3 tablespoons sugar
    1 pound smoked sausage
    3 1/3 - 4 cups flour

    Recipe



    Scald the milk and cool it to lukewarm temperature
    Dissolve the yeast in the water
    Add the sugar
    Add beaten egg, salt and enough flour to make a soft dough
    Let dough rise and then pour into a 10 X 14 X 2 inch greased pan
    Cut the sausage into 3 inch lengths
    Press the sausage into the dough about 3 inches apart
    Let dough rise until it almost covers the sausage
    Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes
