    Dutch Chicken Corn Soup

    List of Ingredients




    Boil chicken until tender and remove bones. Shred meat.
    makd a smooth dough of one egg and one and one half cups of flour; roll out and cut into dice; score and cut off corn from six ears [or approx amount of canned] put all into chicken broth and if using fresh cook until corn is soft. [if using canned cook dough first then add corn for end of cooking] Serve with pretzels or popcorn floating in soup.

    The corn chowder and the corn soup were remains soup. It was a way to stretch the leftovers to feed hungry kids or farmhands or simply neighbors who came to help out.
