Lima Bean & Corn Fritters

1 cup cooked lima beans.
1 tsp salt2 cups canned or fresh corn
1 tsp sugar
4 tablespoon flour
1/8 tsp pepper
1 egg
1/4 cup fat for frying.
Mash cooked beans through a course strainer. Add corn, egg, flour and seasoning. Drop mixture into hot fat and brown on each side. Makes 8 - 10 fritters.
