    List of Ingredients




    from the Pennsylvania Dutch Cook Book
    by Culinary Arts Press, Reading, PA.


    3 cups confectioners' sugar
    1 cup boiling water
    12 drops oil of peppermint or wintergreen

    Boil sugar and water together until a small amount dropped in cold water forms a
    soft ball (234 F on candy thermometer).
    Add flavoring and remove from heat
    Beat until mixture begins to thicken
    Drop from spoon, forming thin patties on waxed paper, keeping candy over hot water
    while forming patties
    About 4 doz. small mints.
