    Mrs Abie Kanagy Raisin Filled Cookies

    List of Ingredients




    1 cup sugar
    3/4 cup shortening
    1 egg
    1/2 cup sweet milk
    3 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp soda

    Sift the soda with flour. Blend ingredients as for any cookie dough. Roll thin. Cut with round cookie cutter. Place filling on center then place second cookie on top. Cut hole so filling will stay in.

    Filling
    1 1/2 cups raisins
    1 heaping cup sugar
    1 1/2 cup scant boiling water
    2 tbs flour

    Boil until thickens.
