Red Cabbage

Red Cabbage
2 small heads red cabbage
1 tbs. fat
3 tbs. vinegar
1 tsp salt
1 medium-size onion
4 whole cloves
Slice cabbagee very thin. Heat fat in a large frying pan, and toss in the
cabbage. Add vinegar (to retain color of cabbage) and salt. Stir gently.
Stick cloves in onion and put it under the cabbage. Add water to cover.
Place a tight lid on the pan and simmer very slowly for 25 minutes or until
cabbage is tender. Add water as need while cooking.Recipe
