    Strawberry Almond Napoleons

    List of Ingredients




    Strawberry Almond Napoleons
    1 sheet of frozen puff pastry
    1 small package instant vanilla pudding
    1 cup milk
    1 teaspoon almond extract
    1 cup Cool Whip
    1/3 cup sliced almonds, toasted
    2 cups fresh strawberries
    Powdered sugar (for garnish)
    Strawberry sauce

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Thaw pastry sheet for 20 minutes, open and cut to make 6 rectangles. Bake 15 minutes till puffed and brown. Cool.

    In bowl, whisk pudding mix, milk and extract till blended. Whisk in Cool Whip. Split pastry horizontally. Cover bottom with almonds, then pudding mix, and then strawberries. Cover with top of pastry and dust with powdered sugar. To serve, cover plate with strawberry sauce and put napoleon in center.

    Strawberry Sauce
    In blender, puree 1 pint strawberries, 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon lemon juice until smooth.
