    Munroe's Bread Pudding

    List of Ingredients




    1 baguette (day old preferred), sliced in 4 inch thick rounds
    1 pint heavy whipping cream
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 zest of one lemon
    6 whole eggs
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1/2 cup milk
    berries and mint garnish

    Recipe



    1) place bread rounds in casserole dish - squeeze in as many as possible
    2) in an electric mixing bowl place milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla and lemon zest - whip at low speed 5 minutes.
    3) ladle custard mix over the bread slices in the casserole dish( you want the liquid to rise 2 inches from the surface)
    4) sprinkle sugar over the entire dish, cover and bake at 300 for 30 minutes
    5) let stand for 30 minutes after cooking, cut into squares and place in large soup or pasta bowls for serving.
    6) scald cream in a small sauce pan and ladle over pudding. Garnish with mint and berries as shown.
