    I think this is better than store-bought, and it has no preservatives.

    1 Tbsp. unsalted butter or margerine
    3/4 cups pineapple juice
    1/4 cup water
    1/2 cup cider vinegar
    1/4 cup sugar
    3 Tbsp. dry sherry
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3 Tbsp. soy sauce




    Recipe



    Melt the butter or margerine in a saucepan and add the pineapple juice, water, vinegar, sugar and sherry. Bring to a boil over lower heat and cook for 5 minutes. Mix the cornstarch and soy sauce, then add mixture to the simmering liquid. Continue simmering until thick.

    Makes 2 cups
