Fried Cabbage [Southern]
List of Ingredients
FRIED CABBAGE
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 green bell pepper, finely diced
1/2 head green cabbage, very thinly sliced
1/2 head red cabbage, very thinly sliced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add
bell pepper and saute for 1 minute.
Add cabbage and toss to coat with butter. Continue
frying and tossing often until cabbage has
softened and is beginning to brown.
Stir in salt and pepper (add more to taste, if you
like). Remove from heat. Serves 4-6. Recipe
