    Sun-Dried Cherry Tomatoes

    Cherry tomatoes
    Virgin olive oil
    Salt and Pepper
    Basil, freshly chopped

    Recipe



    Take two containers of cherry tomatoes, wash them and cut them in half. Place them on a baking tray with the flat side facing up and sprinkle salt and pepper over them. Place the tray in a preheated oven of 200 degrees F for approximately 5 to 6 hours. Time varies according to tomatoes. Wait until they have more or less completely shriveled and the moisture is gone. Make sure they do not burn.. Take out, add the basil and place in a jar that can be tightly sealed. Cover them in the jar completely with olive oil. You can keep the jar on the counter for several weeks or store it in the fridge. This is an easy way to obtain the best and sweetest sun-dried tomatoes.
