    Burner's Que Sauce

    List of Ingredients




    2 tbs vegetable oil
    3 celery ribs, fine chopped
    1 red bell pepper, seeded and finely chopped
    1 green bell pepper, seeded and fine chopped
    1 onion fine chopped
    4 cups coarsely chopped ripe tomatoes [or ketchup]
    1 1/2 cup firm packed brown sugar
    1/2 cup prepared yellow mustard
    1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
    1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
    2 tbs garlic powder
    2 tbs ground ginger
    1/2 tsp chili powder
    1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
    1 tsp fresh ground black pepper
    1 tsp salt

    Recipe



    Heat oil in large saucepan over med heat. Add celery, peppers, onion and cook until the vegetables are slightly softened, 3 to 4 minutes. Add tomatoes and brown sugar, reduce heat and simmer, stir occasionally, until sugar is dissolved completely. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and cook over low heat for 1 hour, stir occasionally. Check seasoning and add more salt if needed. Let cool. Store in airtight container in refrigerator. Will keep for months.

    Marinate the chicken for at least 2 hours before BBQing or baking.
