Sherried Wings
List of Ingredients
A skillet prepared Oriental flavored dish, great as an entree or just late-night nibbles.
Ingredients:
12 wings
3 tablespoons dry sherry
1/2 cup water
2 whole star anise
2 1-inch cinnamon sticks
2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
Salt to taste

Makin' It:
In a skillet, cook the chicken with the sherry, covered, until the liquid has evaporated. Add water, cover, and cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Add the anise and cinnamon, and cook covered for 5 minutes. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer, covered, for 30 minutes, adding water as necessary. Baste the pieces occasionally with the sauce to glaze.
