List of Ingredients
BASE:
2 C flour
2 C quick-cooking oats
1 1/2 C packed brown sugar
1 1/4 C butter, softened
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
FILLING
1 jar (12.25 oz) carmel ice cream topping (1 cup)
3 TBS Flour
1 C semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 C chopped nuts
Recipe
Heat oven to 350 degrees
Grease 13x9 inch pan with shortening
In large bowl, beat base ingredients with electric mixer on low speed until crumbly. Reserve half of the crumb mixture for topping. Press remaining crumb mixture in the bottom of the pan.
Bake 10 minutes. Meanwhile, in small bowl, stir together carmel topping and 3 Tbs flour.
Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts over partially baked base. Drizzle evenly with carmel mixture, sprinkle with reserved crumb mixture.
Bake 18-22 minutes longer or until golden brown. Cool completley in pan on cooling rack, about 1 hours. Refrigerate 1-2 hours or until fillings is set. Cut into bars.
